For our 6:45am tour of Stonehenge, we drove down the night before to scout out the route. You think you know what to expect, but coming up over the hill, Stonehenge takes your breath away (literally - the pictures give only some sense of its magnitude). After finding our target, we drove to the Pelican Inn through small villages, all with their own churches like Berwick St. James and Stapleford St. Mary whose Norman arches date from the late 12th century. Day three - on The road to stonehenge (april 1st)
